“Success is a few good habits repeated every day, Failure is a few bad decisions repeated every day” – Jim Rohn
We know that being successful is actually the accumulation of many small steps and habits.
But what are those habits?
After doing some furious research, we’ve managed to narrow down 1 key point: Integrity. Just like how we’ve mentioned how important it is to invest in yourself, so too is it important to develop “successful” habits.
T. Harv Eker, one of the most successful teachers in personal and financial education, once shared his thoughts about this.
The root word of confidence comes from a Latin word meaning ‘to trust’.
And who do you have to trust? Yourself.
Most people aren’t successful and happy because they’re unable to trust themselves. Because they’re unsure whether they can actually do it if push comes to shove.
How would you know if you can ‘do it’ if you never ‘did it’?
So how do you establish that trust in yourself that you are able to achieve whatever you want to achieve when things get tough? That’s when your track record comes into play.
If you have a habit of doing what you said you will do – no matter how small – then chances are that you can trust yourself when it comes to bigger things. So build up that track record and make integrity a habit.
When your big break finally comes? You’ll know that you’ll be ready for it.
But that’s not all you need for success. Successful people don’t just do what they say they do, they also do things differently. How they view a situation and how they approach a challenge is very different from normal people.
But these habits don’t always come naturally – they can be learnt.
Want to know what successful people do differently? Here’s 3 of them:
The road to success is an uphill task – and that climb requires courage. Some of the best things in life are waiting for you – outside of your comfort zone. When you choose courage over comfort, it brings you growth and actual progress towards your goals.
Success is 80% psychology and 20% mechanics. Even if you have all the strategic tools, it still won’t bring you the success that you desire if you do not have the right mindset. Remember – whatever the mind can believe, the mind can achieve.
Success is not a one-man show. Your success will multiply when you surround yourself with positive people. When you extend yourself to new people and experiences, you will give yourself more opportunities to accelerate your success, beyond what you ever thought was possible.
Ready to start your transformation into a successful person? It’s not going to happen overnight, and it’ll need a great deal of effort and determination on your part.
But in the end? It’ll be worth it.
