Many of us wonder, what does it take to become successful? Is there a formula? Is there something that successful people do that the rest of us don’t know about? Or does it all fall to luck?
Here’s the good news: it really is only 10% inspiration.
As for the other 90% perspiration? That’s also true. Successful people spend most of their time investing in their own futures.
90% might sound like a lot, but with such a high ROI (return on investment), it’s worth your effort.
How much you invest in yourself simply means how much effort you put into YOU.
Tony Robbins says, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
If you’re ready to do something different and push yourself to greater heights, then there are 3 key areas to focus on.
“The path to success is to take massive, determined action.” -Tony Robbins
Most people stop learning after they’ve finished formal education, but that’s doing yourself a disservice—learning is essential for growth.
Try to find at least 30 minutes every day to work on learning something new through books, videos, podcasts, or classes.
Done consistently, that’s 180+ hours of learning clocked in just 1 year. That’s the equivalent of 4 extra hours of education, every single week!
Imagine how much you could learn with just that small investment. It’s compound interest working its magic.
Make education a priority and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish!
It’s easy to take your health for granted when you have it, especially when balancing a hectic work schedule and home life. But if your health crashes, everything else goes too.
There should never be a point in your life when your ambition overshadows your health—the two go hand in hand.
So set aside another 30 minutes a day for just you. Walk, exercise and be active. It doesn’t matter what level of fitness you’re at when you start—the point is to get moving and build momentum.
“The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.” -Tony Robbins
Find someone who is a master at what you want to do and study them. How do they think? What are their habits? How did they get to where they are today?
By following someone who has already walked the path, you can learn from their mistakes and their successes – shaving off countless hours of wasted effort.
“If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.” -Tony Robbins
When you commit to these 3 steps, you are investing in yourself and your future—and you will grow even faster than you ever thought possible!
